I know this feeling well. I’ve lived it before, and I’m living it again. It might only be 10, 15, or 20 pounds at the most, a few times over the last 15 years compared to the initial 85 pounds lost, but the process is still the same.
Just a couple pounds over a few weeks or so just feels too slow and like there is still a long way to go. If you keep going, before long you’ll celebrate decades (10 pounds) lost. It feels good. It won’t happen if you give up.
You can’t give up.
Just. Keep. Going.
Every single day you wake up, make the commitment to move forward.
When you have doubts, go for one more.
When you don’t think you can keep going, go for one more.
When you want to quit, just don’t quit for one more day.
You will build that confidence, you will get through it, and it WILL be worth it.
Here is a little message from Ed Mylett
on the power of one more:
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and can do JUST ONE MORE!!!!
What is your weekend game plan?
I have a lot of projects to do, and some exercise to do, and staying away from the kitchen except for my 3 small mini meals! It doesn't seem fair, but I've finally lost a couple pounds and I need to keep going if I want to see some progress later this year. It's such a slow process, but there is no way to make it faster, just stick to my three little mini meals for the mini person that I am!!!!

I find that the weekend is a mental down time - Saturday I still track and stay close to plan but I just let Sunday "be". I've accepted that my weight will go up on Monday, but it comes back down as long as I'm accountable during the week. Even still, there are days during the week that I have to "go off" and - this time around, I accept it, and I keep it within reason, and the next day am back on it. I had put on about 8-10 pounds from what I'd attained a few years ago, and now I'm down 5, so -- it's all "just a little" here and there - but that's how I got it on, and that's how it has to come off. So thankful for the Level-1 that I've been using for when I need the protein and am hungry....
ReplyDeleteHi Judy! Some days are "go off" days for me. Today was. I don't have to plan them, they just happen. It's okay, that's life. I love the Level-1 too!!!!
DeleteJudy, we got this! 👊
DeleteRoberta, way to go! 🙌
ReplyDeleteOne of my weekend gameplans is to prioritize sleep. This week I've slept less than 7 hours. My appetite is getting more crazy.
Wishing you good sleep this weekend 😴
DeleteThanks Roberta!
DeleteI slept eight hours for two days in a row! 🙌
