I wrote about stress eating a few posts back. It's always an issue, but here's a few more tips to add on to the tips in that post. This is an ongoing issue for all of us.
With the change in seasons many people are getting sick lately. It's always important to keep our immune system strong.
Dieting can leave us vulnerable, so here are some tips:
😴 Prioritize 7-9 hours sleep!!!
🍌Prioritize whole foods including a wide variety of fruits, veggies, beans and legumes.
🍗Protein is essential for the immune system.
💧Drink 90-100 ounces of water or more.
🌱Priortize micronutrients and electrolytes.
I know sleep is hard for many, do your best and know that everything I've including in the list above helps with sleep and keeping hormones balanced. I can not stress enough how much nutrients, hormones, hydration, and protein effect your sleep!!!
This is why good quality vitamins, greens/reds, Omega-3 high in EPA and DHA, and electrolytes are so very important. Not only does this help with fat loss, but sleep, which in turn helps with your hunger hormones.
Everything works in synergy for your best health.
The 1P hydration sticks , Essential Amino Acids, BCAA's, and Ultra/Intra-Formance all have electrolytes.
Adding more veggies, fruits, beans, and legumes will increase your carbs and might push out any room for refined carbs. This is okay, try it some days! This helps your hunger and your heart and arteries, as well as give you more nutrients and antioxidants. You can still have your carb treats another day, make them a special once in a while treat. It takes time to learn to do that, but you can!!
Supplements don't mean you can exclude all the vegan items mentioned here, and eating the vegan items doesn't mean you can skip the supplements. Again, it all works in synergy and we don't get enough from just the healthy food we eat. And if we eat too much, we gain unhealthy body fat. It is a very tricky balance to stay healthy and fit.
I've recently done a little extra with my doctor to get my hormones balanced and it's AMAZING for sleep quality as well as many other symptoms for an older woman like myself. I've done some other work for helping with what used to be so inconvienient with so much water intake and it's AMAZING as well. Feel free to ask me individually if you have questions.
I'm here for you, so please ASK anytime you have questions. You can email youareallyougot.beyourbestself@gmail.com, message me here, or call 530-308-1823 (no SMS text service, for text to my cell find it on the Signal.org phone App.)
The weekend is quickly approaching, have a plan ready, follow your plan!
The process will not work without a plan!
PLAN.
FOLLOW THE PLAN.
It's simple but hard.
Don't rely on "feeling like it."
Do it no matter how grumpy you are about it. Over and over. I know it's not fair!
Make today amazing!!!
Roberta
Roberta, I am so glad you are getting some great result for your health with your doctor. Happy for you!!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more. To prioritize sleep is the most important for me as well. I cannot sleep enough because of hunger . I need to get used to being hungry. The less I sleep, The more I feel hungry. And my immune system is getting weaker. I can feel it.
Have a good night and sweet dreams! 💕
p.s. I love your email ID. 📧
Aww, thank you Mina. It was fun to pick a different incognito name :)
DeleteSleep is so much better for me with the new bioidentical HRT, I've never had anything ever work so well. Hot flashes completely gone, and I sleep so well that even the hunger from a deficit doesn't wake me up anymore. After coffee and my huge drink of reds/greens (controls glycemic index), harmony (helps keep hormones stable), and L-carnitine with fucoxanthin (reduces appetite) it all helps me to not eat again until after noon or so. That helps keep my eating window shorter. I'm also keeping so busy with Sheriff work and projects at home, not being idle. I know you are not idle either!!
Good evening Roberta,
Delete😻AMAZING that the hot flashes completely gone, and the hunger from a deficit doesn't wake you up anymore. It sounds so fascinating to me!! I'm happy for you! 💕
Have a fabulous weekend!
