"Give me a stayer every time"

I just finished a book which I loved called "Down the Long Hills" by Louis L'Amour. The young boy in the story was remember something is dad used to say "Give me a stayer every time."

But how could they keep going? Fear and obstacles pounded at those in the story. I loved the story and the many lessons about life that it taught, especially about people and strong character.

The moral was, no matter what keep going. No matter how tired, even if it gets to be harder and harder.

Keep going.

I love staying connected with the stayers. I love having just the few people who have stayed with me all these years, even though I'm no longer on social media.

I visited a friend recently who I spent a lot of time with years ago when I was on social media. She's taken off on it and has become one of the elite. I'm happy for her success, yet I'm happy with my life without the social media. I saw how much she did on it, the articles and the multiple quick "stories" and that she wanted a quick selfie with me for a story. No thanks, I love my life and I'm a stayer in it. My life is full, and I might only have a few conversations here and in the 1st Phorm App, but the connection is stronger and my life isn't filled with having to document and take pictures of EVERYTHING all day long!

Thank you for all the stayers!

I'm a stayer in my life with Randy, here in this little mountain town, working in our little community.

And as far as health and fitness, I'm a stayer.

Even if we were not perfect at it yesterday, for whatever reason, we can wake up today and make it better, learning from those mistakes. That is a STAYER at health and fitness. And you can do it whether your home situation makes you a mover or a stayer. It's about being persistent or tenacious, no matter where you are. You can do it whether you live your life so much on social media, or not at all like Randy and I.

A stayer is someone who doesn't need to try the next diet fad, or do something new and exciting. They just keep plodding along trusting the process; Calories, Water, Sleep, Exercise. If you didn't get your calories right yesterday, what will you do to fix the problem today?

Who is a stayer?  Why?

  1. You are the only one stayer around me, Roberta! 💯💯💯

I want to be a stayer at nutrition and fitness. That's why I'm trying to follow the same process everyday. My trust in it is founded because of you. Whenever I fail, it hinders me from keep going. I easily become overwhelmed by a sense of fear and anxiety for another failure.🫠

'Give me a stayer every time' I need this!

    1. I appreciate our friendship for so long Mina! See, you are a stayer too. Now, to you I look to be a stayer with nutrition and fitness, and logically yes I am, but it's important for you to know that I'm quite often overwhelmed by fear and anxiety, and I fail at little goals and have to get up and keep going too. I don't know a single person without this struggle to fight. I know it does not SEEM like it when you look at others, but I know that below the surface the struggle is there for them too!!!
