On Any Day

On Any Day. We can screw up our diet on any day! We can work out or save our meal plan on any day!

On. Any. Day.

As in No particular time. It doesn't matter when; it can happen any day.

What is IT?

Whatever you want it to be.

The phrase "on any day" is used to indicate that something can happen any day, with no specific day in mind. It is often used to express flexibility or lack of preference for any particular day.

I have found that I can screw up my meal plan on ANY DAY!

In fact, because of this I have learned that I can DECIDE to get back on track ON ANY DAY.

Many of us tend to be ALL OR NOTHING creatures. It doesn't have to be that way. If we screw up, we don't have to spend the rest of the day screwing up. We don't have to screw it up ALL WEEK and then start over on Monday.

We don't have to wait until THIS or THAT is over before we start to fix it.

I have found that no matter what season of life you are in, when this or that is over, life will give you some more this or that's.

Today is Sunday. It's a good day to plan for the week.

Since fixing things can begin ON ANY DAY, it's a good day to do it today as well. It's a typical day for planning for the week. Grocery shopping, meal prep, meal planning, etc. Get your work and gym clothes lined up while you are at it.

Plan to make time to workout and sleep and drink water while you are at it.

I did so well the week before last with nutrition, even though I was sick. But this last week it was more at TDEE, so I'm a bit frustrated with myself.

I finally got a workout in yesterday afternoon, so that helped me get motivated. I have not been consistent because I have not been well. I'm feeling a little better and I think the dang virus is starting to fade away now, slowly. Maybe I can get some workouts in. I will try, and I will get them in earlier in the day. Today I will workout as soon as I'm done typing this up, then get on with my chores, and rest as needed.

I will muster up the attitude to stick to my meal plans, even though I often want to comfort myself with my baked cornbread or whatever. No, stick to the plan! Errr! It's hard, I know. It's not that you can't have things, it's that they must be planned in. That extra piece of cornbread (or whatever) can sometimes be the difference between TDEE and a Calorie Deficit.

That pesky Calorie Deficit is what is needed for fat loss, which many of us need!

Workouts help burn a little more of those calories and can help make that deficit happen. Don't count on eating those extra calories for the exercise burn, it's only a slight edge. If you have any questions about that, it's what I'm in the App for.

I like to think of EVERY DAY as an opportunity to workout, or rest, as needed. And every day is an opportunity to get back on your meal plan or SAVE THE DAY if you consumed something off track. It's okay to fast if you can or need to. It's what you consume in every 24-hour block that matters, over time. Make it work for you. Every day does not have to be the same. Just decide right now to make the day work for you.
