Lighter Brownie Recipe

Ever get a craving for something sweet, or something chocolate?

I do!

Especially when I'm on a deficit for a week or so with healthier choices. It seems like after about a week or longer I'm susceptible to a little binge if I am not careful.

I like to plan in some treats. Or just go ahead and make them when I feel the need.

The thing about baking is what makes the items have the taste and texture is the true ingredients like sugar, butter, salt, flour, amount of gluten, etc.

Also, every treat recipe doesn't have to contain protein powder! Just make sure you get enough protein for the day and plan accordingly.

I found most brownie recipes too rich and too many calories. I wanted to make some without the chocolate chips which, while they add some very nice gooey richness, add a lot of calories.

I decided to study some recipes then come up with my own. It was perfect for me. It was a little lighter. It would be WONDERFUL with some nuts or chocolate chips added in. OMG!!! But I made do with what I had and made it lighter. Even though Splenda isn't the healthiest option, I used it as my sweetener as I've been finding my beloved Stevia is just too bitter with the unsweetened cocoa powder.

There is the recipe. I have it in a word document if anyone wants me to email it to you. Just let me know.

Oh, one thing I forgot to add to the recipe is I sprinkled just a tiny bit of powdered sugar on the top before I baked them.

Yummy!!!!
