Finally, the jeans that were too tight earlier this year are a little loose. I need a belt to hold them up. My definition in my shoulders and arms is starting to poke through. I'm getting my overall shape back, but I still have a way to go!
Progress does feel good. It's all about getting those calories under our TDEE. Our TDEE goes down a little every year as we age. Not fair!
I had taken the picture just before I had to go run some errands and I had to cut my workout short. I left all my weights out and vowed to finish my workout when I got back!
A storm is coming in, but I love the view from my workout room!
I didn't feel like finishing my workout, but my weights were still all out on the floor. I got it done, and it matters! See there, it was about half my active calorie burn.
It still matters!
Especially that I ate 1400 calories, right at my TDEE, so this will create the deficit I needed, and the calories were not excessively high.
I still don't want to get on the body weight scale yet. It feels good to see progress and that my jeans are loose again. I can't wait to fit into the next smaller sizes.
I just have a couple more weeks to do all body workouts. Surgery is on March 1st which is day 55 of the 56-day 1st Phorm challenge. I'll take my pictures and weigh-in on day 54 which is February 29th. No matter what, I'm with my people in the challenge. And I'm always with my friends who don't do the challenges which are many of you.
Two more weeks to do all body workouts.
Two more weeks to work for the Sheriff's Department a couple days a week.
No reason to quit. I'll just focus on other things after March 1st. When I'm feeling well enough, I can do many leg exercises. I have a leg extension and leg curl bench. I have a weight vest, and a step-up bench, and I have my spin bike. I'll be able to go for walks and do some very careful running. I'll be able to swim and tread water with a kick board. And I will certainly keep working on my nutrition plan and a very slight calorie deficit.
I just got an email per my surgery schedule that was a reminder to focus on protein and hydration for the best surgery recovery. I've been doing food prep all along, saving some for the freezer for after surgery.
I want to keep going.
It helps when I'm happy that I made progress.
See, Never Give UP. Never Settle. Live your Dream.
