Tips to Avoid Stress Eating

Oh boy, that has been my problem so often lately! Today there was a podcast on this topic. It rolls through as a topic quite often. Think that there might be a reason for that?

First, I make sure all trigger foods are locked up or out of sight, or out of the house.

Second, I make sure there are healthy prepped food on hand, and plenty of options for protein and vegetables that are quick. Like the chicken and turkey for quick soups, turkey meatloaf, and stuffed peppers. Those recipes are all in the main menu here.

Food is life!

I'm all about those quick easy recipes.

Today I made a recipe for protein crepes and I liked it for something sweet.

Yesterday I worked on something mechanical. I had to research, and call a buddy for help. That stresses me out, but I kept telling myself "don't eat. don't eat. Don't eat!"

It sounds like a weird thing to say, because I do eat just the right amount every day. The rest of the time, I have to convince myself, don't eat, don't eat!

Otherwise, we just don't achieve our goals.

It's not fun to have to say no to this and that all day long, but that's how it is.

And, the bright side is "I get to eat!"

And, I get to eat good food.

It's just the right amount. Not too much. Not too little.

Just right like Goldilocks.

And the rest of the time, keep busy, don't eat, you can have some more tomorrow!

Stay positive and grateful for what you get to eat. Eat food you like, in the correct portions. Know that you can have a treat, just not every day, all the time, and every time you want it. Treats are for sometimes, not every day.

Unless you make yourself some protein treats and such as part of your healthy meal plan.

Do that, and you will achieve.

PS I'm sitting here listening to the thunder roll, and lightning flashing all around. It's raining hard and hailing.

Earlier before it got dark, here's a bit of the hail. That was when it was more calm around here:

Stay warm and safe and dry!
