This is to hold myself accountable to my goals. I've gotten a little soft since my last pictures. I can give myself some grace, as I've had shoulder replacement surgery. Duh! But that doesn't mean I have to let myself go. I can go along at a nice healthy slow pace.
The thing is: I still need to measure out my food! I've been slacking just a bit on measuring it out.
Taking the pictures is not fun. The good part is that it keeps me in reality.
At the same time, lighting matters.
This set was taking moments before the set above. All I did was face the camera in the opposite direction. I wasn't seeing what I see in the mirror, which was just slightly more definition. Changing the lighting shows it better.
Still, I have work to do. Just a little more body fat to lose while I work on my running.
That's the hardest part, calories! It is also making those calories count with protein, fiber and carbs, and healthy fats. That means cutting out so much bread and pasta and things like that. It doesn't mean I can't have those things but limited small portions only once in a while! Not every day!
Running and cardio makes me way hungrier, so that means making sure I have healthy food prepared and readily available. It also means waiting when I see the temptation foods that won't help me and making sure I have something I read or look at to remind me what I really want later down the road. It needs to be enough to make me think about the fact that giving into the food MEANS I WON'T GET what I want. If I want my goal, the only option is to SAY NO. NO NO NO.
I get it. It's not fun to say no.
I know it's hard to have setbacks, like my surgeries. I know what it's like to not feel good. In fact, to sometimes feel like crap. I know what it feels like to think why bother? Why not just give up.
Because I WON'T GIVE UP.
