Yesterday I braved a run and even a picture!
Today is the first day I can type on the keyboard. I have to lean forward, and my arm is still stuck in a sling. My thumb and one finger are still just slightly numb and tingles. I am not alarmed; I think it's still the 3-day nerve block is not fully worn off. My arm is still a little numb as well.
I actually did great on my activity last week!
I did perfect on my calories as well.
It's hard to tell how I'm doing with weight management as my body is still swollen from the surgery cocktail. It is only the 4th day since surgery. The priority is healing, yet I'm proving that doesn't have to be an excuse to not do anything, or to go all out with eating whatever I want.
Yesterday I ate up to TDEE, but I burned a lot on that run. Today I'm already at TDEE but I'll study today and keep the ice machine on my shoulder. If I feel like it later, I'll ride the exercise bike and enjoy some streaming video. I'm studying to recertify on my computer tech certification called CompTIA A+. Some of you may remember my studying for about a year to get that certification right before I got covid. That was three years ago already! I'm not about to let that certification expire. The Recertification covers new updated material, and reviews the basics, but it's at my own pace with little tests I can take over until I get 100%. We don't pass unless we get 100% but it's nicely done, well-paced, and it keeps my mind active.
Yesterday's run was a little over a minute per mile slower compared to the 8-mile run a week ago, but I had to be careful not to jar my shoulder, especially on the downhill.
That's it for now. I'm aware of my higher calorie treats and will have to make up for them, nice and easy, not too hard, just like the run. Treats are okay, but they'll also have to be paid for in a nice healthy manner.
No falling allowed!
Back to my studies.

So proud of you, Roberta! I remember the certificate you have. Amazing! You keep moving forward ✨️! Please be careful while running or walking.
ReplyDeleteHow much does one apple cost in the u.s.? It's $4~$15 per just one apple in my country. Going crazy... As a matter of fact, vegetables and fruits are expensive items in grocery store here. But I think it's too much nowadays. 😮💨
All healthy food is too expensive!!!! The world is in a crazy time in history right now. All we can do is our best. It is scary times.
